Our Relationship

Our paths crossed on May 6, 2019, on Tinder. From the very first message, we were drawn to each other’s shared goals and dreams. We spent countless hours exploring the park, becoming inseparable friends. But life took us down different paths. Alexis moved to Port Wentworth to finish college, while Derrian stayed in Columbia to continue his career after college.

On July 28, 2019, Derrian finally worked up the courage to confess his feelings. He ran outside during church and called Alexis, his heart pounding in his chest. He blurted out, “Will you be my girlfriend?” and then added, “I’m in love with you!” Alexis was taken aback but overjoyed. “Yes, I’ll be your girlfriend!” exclaimed Alexis. “I thought you were at church!” They both burst into laughter, and Derrian said, “I have to run back in, but I couldn’t wait any longer. I had to ask you this.”

Our love story took another exciting turn on February 9, 2025, when we got engaged. And on March 14, 2025, we tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony. Now, we’re thrilled to share our love with our families and friends on a special wedding trip!
